About the Voyage

The Hope Voyage was an idea that sprung to life at a time when my ultimate dream as a human was to become a nomadic camel-wandering Bedouin around 2016.

I acquired my first pair of camels back in 2017 and started my own family.  Their names were Nesma & Sindibad and we had traveled across the UAE 3 times with extensive training.  Once from Abu Dhabi to Al Ain (Total of 190km). Once from Al Faya to Al Khazna (50km), and our final journey from Abu Dhabi to Sharjah (220km).  During this time I had planned our 4th journey and this one was to be an international crossing from the UAE-Yemen.  Yemen was the nearest and most affected country in the Gulf that needed all the help, support and love it could.

Shortly after our AD-Sharjah journey in 2019 my best friends in the whole wide world fell ill (Nesma & Sindibad) and passed away. I decided to not give up on the journey and instead make the crossing by foot in their memory and still create a humanitarian journey in support of the people of Yemen. The year 2025 so happened to be the year the Hope Voyage will be brought to life. History in the making.
